805 Running Club

Check out the new website, "805 running", which provides a resource for running in the Ventura county area (hence, the 805 area code in its title).  I've added a link to the site in the lefthand column of this page.  This site was started by Josh Spiker, a former Ventura high school runner who was the State Champion in the 3200M back in the 1990's before starring at the University of Wisconsin.  He is a world class runner and recently purchased Inside Track (a running shoe store on Main Street in Ventura) from another Venturan, Gary Tuttle, who himself once finished 2nd in the Boston Marathon and now, among other activities, works as an official at area cross country and track meets (including our cross country league finals this past fall).  You might want to take a trip up to Inside Track sometime to check out the merchandise and, more importantly, to visit the epicenter of distance running in our area.
