Results from League Prelims: Several Distance Runners Qualify for League Finals

Michelle Kislak (PR of 5:27.29), Katie Klezek (5:27.84) and Kristen Hessick qualified for the Varsity Girls 1600M Finals this Friday.  Only 12 girls qualified, so to have 3 in the finals is a very impressive development for Agoura High School.  Erin Baird would have also undoubtedly qualified as well but has chosen to focus on the 3200M finals this Friday in an effort to meet the CIF qualifying time.  Also qualifying for League Finals was Adam Brosh in the highly-competetive F/Soph 1600M and Logan Bedell in the JV Girls 1600M.  Chris Baird had the 4th fastest qualifying time in the 1600M but will not run that distance at Finals, instead running the 3200M only in his quest to reach CIF for the 2nd season in a row.  Several of our runners will also run in the 3200M finals this Friday (there is no qualifying prelims for this event).  Congratulations also to the following runners who achieved end-of-the-season PRs at prelims:  Jessica Stoffel (2:52.91), Phoebe Simon (2:45.08), Stacey Goldberg (2:54.56) and Logan Bedell (2:31.99) in the 800M, and a trio of freshmen boys in the 1600M despite windy conditions: Max Byer (5:23.24), Aaron Argiso (5:29.77) and Richard Avery (5:36.15).
